Description

As announced on 5 March 2025, the German automotive supplier Allgaier Automotive, headquartered in Uhingen, Baden-Württemberg, will close at the end of 2025. All 750 employees will be affected.

The company had already filed for insolvency in June 2023. Some companies of the Allgaier Group were subsequently sold. But no investor could be found for Allgaier Automotive.

According to the company, the majority of employees are expected to transfer to a transition company. In addition, there is a social plan. A small group of people will continue working at the site until the middle of 2026 to administer the closure.

As announced on 16 July 2025, the Moselle site of the Allgaier subsidiary in France also has to close in April 2026 as a consequence of the insolvency, which was also reported in the ERM databaseAllgaier France 2025 - FR.
