Description
Aviserrano, a Spanish food Production company, has announced a new poultry processing plant in La Carlota (Córdoba), which will start operations in April or May 2026 with a workforce of 250 to 300 employees, eventually expanding to around 1,500 direct jobs as production scales up. The initial recruitment phase, coordinated with the La Carlota City Council, will focus on technical and specialised profiles required to prepare the €100 million facility for its planned opening in spring 2026.
The first roles to be filled include production and dispatch operators, industrial and refrigeration maintenance technicians, quality and food safety specialists, HR and occupational risk management staff, and logistics and auxiliary service personnel.
The facility, operated through its subsidiary AviNatur, will be one of Spain’s largest poultry plants, capable of processing 12,500 chickens and 2,500 turkeys per hour. Beyond direct employment, it is expected to stimulate regional economic growth by supporting local farms and auxiliary industries such as maintenance, transport, and industrial services.
