Description

Sicli, a Belgian manufacturer of fire extinguishers based in Uccle, Brussels, has declared bankruptcy. Out of 282 employees, only 84 will retain their positions following the company's acquisition by an Irish firm. The remaining 198 workers face collective dismissal, with the last working day marked by a protest held on 16 December 2024.

A meeting between trade union representatives and company management is scheduled as is required in the procedures that are prescribed through the Renault-Law. The primary objective remains to ensure business continuity and preserve as many jobs as possible.
