Description
As announced on 28 October 2025, the German subsidiary of the French engineering service provider Segula Technologies has filed for insolvency, resulting in the loss of 287 jobs. The German subsidiary runs two automotive test centres in Rodgau-Dudenhofen and Rüsselsheim that will be closed.
The employees will receive termination notices by the end of October. A small team will remain in place to manage assets until the end of the year. For 82 long-serving employees at the Dudenhofen site, a transfer company is being established to provide new career opportunities.
The German subsidiary of Segula Technologies previously operated test centres for the automotive group Opel Stellantis. A new operator must now be found to take over these key facilities. The grounds will remain in Opel's possession for now. The company had first filled for insolvency in July 2023 and was unsuccessfully looking for investors since, ultimately causing the closure.
