Description
Navantia has announced the creation of 100 new jobs at its Ferrol. At the moment, the hiring of 66 people is underway. The company will begin discussions next week with union representatives to define the professional profiles required for this recruitment drive.
These reinforcements come as Navantia continues construction of the first three of five F-110 frigates for the Spanish Navy and prepares to start work in early 2026 on the new Fleet Replenishment Ship (BAC), which will replace the Patiño. The expansion also aligns with the upcoming launch of the digital block factory and the Centre of Excellence for the Digital Twin, both expected to be operational in the first quarter of 2026.
This initiative is part of Navantia’s broader plan to hire 1,500 new employees across its facilities, complemented by additional vacancies arising from partial retirements. The Ferrol shipyard’s strengthened workforce will help sustain local industry, address future production and digitalisation challenges, and secure long-term employment in the region.
Navantia experienced a previous business expansion in 2021Navantia 2021-ES, creating approximately 173 new jobs.
