ZS Europe, a subsidiary of Shanghai Unison Aluminium Products, has completed the construction of a new aluminium components plant for the automotive industry in Radinovo village, Maritsa Industrial Zone, part of the Trakia Economic Zone near Plovdiv. The investment amounts to BGN 18.7 million (EUR 0.53 million) and will create over 100 new jobs.
The project covers a 35,000 m² site. Its first phase, a 12,000 m² production building, has been completed, while the second phase, adding 10,000 m² of production space, is under construction. The investor holds Class A investment certification from the Bulgarian government.
The official inauguration, scheduled for early November, will be attended by Mr Luo Shibing, General Manager of Shanghai Unison, and Eng. Plamen Panchev, CEO of Trakia Economic Zone. The project marks Shanghai Unison’s first successful industrial investment in Bulgaria and a strategic step in the company’s European expansion, strengthening the country’s position as an attractive location for high-tech manufacturing.
