Description
TDV Industries, a French textile company, is set to close at the beginning of 2026, resulting in the loss of 120 jobs. The plant located in Laval (Mayenne) has been facing a severe crisis, as management announced in September. By the end of the month, they confirmed its definitive closure. According to management, the decision was made due to the growing competition and unfavourable economic context. For their part, trade unions denounce the lack of dialogue or negotiation with social partners in this decision. Also they point out that such measure feeds the ongoing trend of offshoring in the textile industry towards low-cost production countries.
