Description
Mobis, a South Korean multinational manufacturer of automotive components, has announced the hiring of 450 employees in its new battery plant in NoƔin (Navarre). The plant, currently under construction, is expected to begin production in early 2026. The facility will play a key role in the development of Navarra as a hub for electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing in Southern Europe. The plant will assemble EV battery systems, with a production capacity of up to 360,000 units annually, primarily for Volkswagen Navarra and potentially for other manufacturers in Southern Europe.
The initiative complements ongoing transformations within Volkswagen Navarra and its suppliers, which are investing heavily to adapt to EV production and to manufacture two B-segment electric vehicles in the region.
