European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Lanjatrans, a leading logistics and transport company in Granada and Eastern Andalusia, has announced plans to close its operations and initiate an Employment Redundancy Process (ERE) that would affect its entire workforce of approximately 160 employees, including drivers and administrative staff.
The company, which operates a fleet of 140 lorries, has informed workers of the planned termination of contracts effective 30 September 2025, although the date remains subject to regulatory approval and possible legal changes. The announcement has caused considerable uncertainty among staff and their families. In a letter sent to employees, Lanjatrans cites the anticipated cessation of business activity as the reason for the ERE, while noting that a workers' representative committee must be formed in advance to facilitate formal negotiations.
