JS Energy Europe, a Chinese battery component manufacturer, plans to initially create 300 new jobs in Konin.
The plant, which previously belonged to the British company Johnson Matthey, has been taken over by a new investor who plans to start production in 2026. In the first stage, around 300 people will be employed, and ultimately, the number of jobs may increase to 800; currently, around 50 people already work at the plant.
