Description
MyWorld International AG, the Austrian successor to Lyoness and operator of a global shopping platform via subsidiaries, has filed for insolvency and plans to reduce its 116-strong workforce at its Graz headquarters. The restructuring will affect administrative and operational roles, aiming to continue operations with fewer staff. Talks with a strategic investor have not yet concluded but remain ongoing.
The company reports liabilities of €22.73 million against assets of €15.07 million, plus disputed tax debts of €56.3 million, which could raise insolvency exposure to €64 million. Around €5 million of liabilities relate to outstanding vouchers for hundreds of customers, and 2,049 creditors are involved. The restructuring plan foresees a 20% repayment within two years.
