Description
Virtuos, a Singapore-based game development and co-development specialist, has announced that it will cut 270 jobs worldwide.
The cuts include around 200 roles in Asia and 70 in Europe, with fewer than 10 positions affected in France. The company is offering affected employees severance pay, career transition assistance, and, where possible, opportunities for redeployment within its global network.
This decision comes as the company shifts its focus towards generative AI technologies and implements salary freezes to improve profitability.
Virtuos employs around 4,200 globally. In Europe, the company has studios across France, the Netherlands, Poland, Czechia, Ireland, Ukraine, and the UK.
