Description
American e-commerce giant Amazon opened a new local delivery agency in Villeneuve-la-Garenne in Hauts-de-Seine on July 23, 2025 and announced the creation of 120 direct permanent jobs. This is part of the company's plans to expand its regional logistics network. The agency will also lead to the creation of approximately 500 indirect jobs, notably through the recruitment of delivery agents by Amazon partners. The new Matrix technologies implemented within the agency will facilitate the work of employees.
To date, Amazon's investments have contributed more than €8 billion to the regional GDP by 2024 and the company aims to continue creating quality, sustainable jobs while reducing its carbon footprint. A few factsheets have already been published regarding Amazon : Amazon 2025 - FRAmazon 2024 - FR
