Description
RTP, a Portuguese public broadcasting company, is undergoing an internal restructuring process. This process includes the voluntary departure of 97 workers. The restructuring also involves a reduction in the number of management positions, from 39 to 28.
For the entire restructuring process, the Government has already approved funding of €40 million.
In addition, a further 41 employees have expressed interest in leaving the organisation, involving an additional cost of €2 million.
This year, RTP is expected to record a loss of over €18 million, following 15 consecutive years of profit.
