Description
Playtika, an Israeli mobile gaming company, has announced that it will cut up to 400 jobs worldwide.
In Belarus, the company is to close its office in Minsk, resulting in the dismissal of approximately 150 employees - half of the local workforce. The company offers the remaining staff options such as relocation, remote work, or B2B contracts.
Layoffs are also expected in Romania and Poland, although exact figures remain unknown.
These measures follow earlier restructuring steps taken by Playtika in 2022, when it closed offices in Los Angeles, London, and Montreal, affecting 250 workers. The current wave of layoffs reflects ongoing financial challenges and a difficult market situation in the gaming industry.
Playtika operates in multiple countries including Israel, the USA, Germany, Austria, Australia, Ukraine, Romania, Poland, and Finland. It employs about 4,000 people.
