European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Aquinos Bedding Poland, a mattress manufacturer, has announced group redundancies which will affect 143 people at its Łódź plant. The redundancies are due to the worsening financial situation of the company, which has fallen behind with payments. 143 people will lose their jobs: 114 production workers, 13 office workers, seven in the warehouse and four employed in the maintenance department; 120 people are expected to remain in the company after the redundancies. Trade unions have received notification of the intended collective redundancies at the company. Aquinos Bedding Poland is owned by a Portuguese manufacturer, which took over the plant in 2022.
