Description
The German film technology manufacturer ARRI is cutting around 150 jobs as part of a restructuring programme. This affects production in Stephanskirchen (approx. 100 jobs) and the logistics centre in Brannenburg (approx. 50 jobs), which are to be closed by August 2025. According to the company, the closures are necessary due to difficult market conditions. While redundancies are planned, it will also be examined whether some of the workforce can be relocated to other locations.
The trade union IG Metall Rosenheim is calling for alternatives to the closure, such as restructuring or investments, and has clearly criticised the decision. Local representatives are also concerned.
The company, which was founded in 1917, has its headquarters in Munich.
