Description
The French tire manufacturer Michelin has decided to move back-office jobs from its flagship factory located in Stoke-on-Trent (UK) to its Polish subsidiary in Warsaw. The company’s new decision is to move around 60 back-office (non-production support) positions to Eastern Europe, with 22 to Romania (Bucharest) by the end of next year and 39 to Poland (Warsaw) by September 2025.
Previously Michelin announced the closure its factory for heavy trucks in Poland, in Olsztyn, where about 430 employees work, and move part of its production to Romania, arguing lower costs on the Romanian market.
