European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Duferco Danish Steel in Frederiksværk will close its steel production, resulting in the dismissal of 124 out of 130 employees, according to Sjællandske Nyheder. The decision to close was made on 28 May, with redundancies expected to be notified between 29 May and 11 June. A small number of employees will remain temporarily to complete orders, clear inventory, and manage the wind-down of activities. Duferco Danish Steel has produced bar steel for 19 years since acquiring part of the former Danish Steelworks site in 2006.
