Description
Delhaize, a Belgian supermarket chain and part of the multinational Ahold Delhaize Group, has opened a new distribution facility in Vorst. The facility was established to increase the company's e-commerce capabilities (mainly focused on groceries) and has cost approximately 53 million euros. The company is in heavy competition with supermarket chain Colruyt in this relatively new field. Now that the facility is operational, it will double the e-commerce capabilities of Delhaize in the country. In total, 400 employees will work at the facility.
