European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Finnish company Valmet has announced the layoff of 108 clerical workers in Sweden. The job cuts are part of a global restructuring programme initiated at the end of March 2025 Valmet 2024-WO.
The negotiations resulted in 325 job cuts in Finland, in addition to the 108 in Sweden, as previously reported Valmet 2025-FI
Valmet is a provider of technologies, automation, and services for the pulp, paper, and energy sectors. It has around 19,000 employees worldwide, of which 1,700 are in Sweden.
