The hamburger chain restaurant Brödernas, which has been in reconstruction since October of 2024, announced in March of 2025 that it will close around 30 out of its 80 locations, resulting in a reduction of its workforce from 500 to 400 employees. This measure aims to keep the remaining 52 restaurants open.
The chain opened its first location in 2016 and has rapidly expanded since then. The decision follows financial challenges for the chain, which cites inflation of, in particular, food and rent prices as the main drivers.
