Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

MPO, a French manufacturer specializing in vinyl and CD production, is set to cut between 40 and 50 jobs in France in 2025. The company is facing financial challenges due to a decline in demand within the vinyl sector and the loss of its primary client, leading to its placement under legal redress. The job cuts will primarily affect management positions and roles that are being replaced by management and production management software. While the company is restructuring, it is also looking to stabilize its business by focusing on other activities, such as packaging and expanding into new sectors.
MPO employs a total of 550 workers, with 400 based in France, and 110 in Madrid, Spain.
