Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Chinese construction and agricultural machinery manufacturer Zoomlion will establish a lifting scaffold plant in Tatabánya. The investment is expected to create approximately 800 jobs. Production is set to start by the end of 2025, initially in rented premises, according to the plans. In the second phase of the investment, production will move to a self-owned production hall in a few years.
The investment cost is €105 million. This will be the conglomerate’s third European production site. The founder of Zoomlion stated that the company would establish strong ties with local suppliers.
Tatabánya is the administrative centre of Komárom-Esztergom County. The county’s labour market recently has been affected by the slump in the battery industry, which led to ongoing downsizing at a nearby large battery plant.
