Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Framatome, specializing in nuclear energy and reactor fuel design, is hiring 200 workers this year at its site in Romans-sur-Isère. The company is offering various positions, including electricians, turners, mechanics, boilermakers, and welders.
The site will also soon begin producing 3D-printed components, though little is known due to confidentiality. This large restructuring is also accompanied by the end of a building extension which required 6 years of work and 180 million euros of investment. This extension ensured the new uranium zone is up to new security standards.
The site currently employs a little over a thousand workers.
Several prior large restructurings have been recorded on the ERM database, with the latest hiring 100 in 2025 Framatome 2025 - FR.
