Fashion retailer New Look has put its Irish operation into liquidation with the loss of 347 jobs.
The company has appointed provisional liquidators due to sustained losses and challenging market conditions. The company has stated that “a collective redundancy process, impacting all colleagues” employed in stores in the Republic of Ireland is envisaged. A 30-day staff consultation process has commenced.
New Look currently employs 347 staff across 26 stores in the Republic of Ireland, with an average of 12-13 staff per store.
