European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Arkema, a chemical manufacturer, is recruiting 250 work-study students (alternance) in France in 2025. The company aims to attract young professionals and facilitate skill transfer. Overall, in 45% of cases, work-study students are later hired into permanent positions (113 positions).
Arkema is looking to fill a variety of positions, including process engineers, lawyers, maintenance technicians, and demand planners, to support key initiatives such as energy efficiency and digitalization. The company is hiring students at different levels of study. The Group is considered by rankings to be a good employer for young professionals.
Several large restructurings have been recorded in the ERM database, with the latest resulting in 154 job cuts in Jarrie in 2025 Arkema 2025 - FR.
