Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.

Philip Morris ČR, a subsidiary of Philip Morris International (PMI) and the largest producer and seller of tobacco products in the Czech Republic, has announced its intention to create 100 new jobs in 2025.
The leading tobacco manufacturer in the country is expanding its Kutná Hora plant and has launched a new product on the market in the form of ZYN nicotine pouches. They have been on sale since the beginning of the year and are intended to serve as a better alternative to cigarettes for adult smokers. Moreover, the demand for this relatively young product category continues to grow significantly in Europe and around the world.
In connection with the fact that the company is preparing to start producing nicotine pouches in Kutná Hora, the plant could also become the company's pan-European production hub for this type of product.
