Renfe has just announced a new Public Employment Offer (OPE) to recruit 300 commercial operators, complementing its recent hiring initiatives for 470 train drivers and 210 workshop personnel (980 in total). In this regard, RENFE launched a recent call in early February this year for 470 new entry-level train drivers to cover national service schedules for Renfe Viajeros and Renfe MercancĂas, as well as 210 new workshop and maintenance staff being recruited across six specialisations, namely adjuster-assembler (102 jobs), electricity-electronics (66 jobs), machine tools (7 jobs), painting (7 jobs), boilermaking/sheet metal/welding (13 jobs) and supplies (15 jobs).
Additionally, and after the completion of the academic year in June 2025, 20 more positions will be offered in railway maintenance, within the framework of Dual Vocational Training. Thus, and by the end of 2025, Renfe will have hired 1,000 new employees, bringing its total new hires since 2018 to over 8,300.
