Description

Multinational pharmaceutical company MSD is to create 1000 jobs in Ireland over the next 12 months. The jobs were announced as part of an acquisition by MSD of the WuXi Vaccines manufacturing facility in Dundalk, Co Louth.

MSD Ireland said that including the acquisition, it will be adding 1,000 new jobs across its eight locations in counties Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Louth, Meath and Tipperary. Some 150 new jobs will be at the newly acquired Dundalk site where 200 people are currently employed.

MSD currently employs 3,000 people in Ireland across its various sites.
