European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In March 2023, Buitoni (Nestlé France), the previous owner, was forced to close due to the deaths of two children and the illness of around 50 people caused by E. coli poisoning. Italpizza, an Italian manufacturer of frozen pizza, acquired the Buitoni factory and inaugurated a new site on January 27 with an investment of twelve million euros. Italpizza is hiring 140 workers for its new manufacturing site in Caudry. The goal is to manufacture and sell pre-cooked products using two production lines.
