European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Volue, a Norwegian technology and analytics company specializing in software solutions for the power industry, is reportedly planning to cut around 130 of its nearly 800 jobs. The job reductions will affect several units across its offices in Norway, including those in Arendal, Oslo, and Trondheim.
The company provides software and services for power generation planning, energy trading, grid operations, and market forecasting. The restructuring comes as part of a strategic adjustment to sharpen Volue’s product focus into 2025. According to CEO Trond Straume, the company will increase efforts in some areas while scaling back in others, necessitating a capacity adjustment across parts of the organisation.
