European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Food company Libreco entered insolvency proceedings at the beginning of December 2024. As reported by media news, some 200 employees are affected by the insolvency proceedings. The company had been looking for new investors but was not successful in the end.
Due to a difficult market situation, high investments not yielding sufficiently and slowing demand for its products, the company's operations will be shut down. News reports expected that employees would be receive their dismissal on short term notice (i.e. in December 2024). However, the company's insolvency administrator is not quoted with a final date for shutting down the company.
