Description
Vestas, a company in the wind energy industry, will open two factories in Szczecin and initially employ 700 people.
The first factory in Szczecin's Ostrów Brdowski will assemble nacelles and hubs for the company's offshore turbine, it will open in January 2025. This factory will initially employ 700 people, with recruitment and training already underway. The second Vestas factory will be built in Skolwin and will start operating in 2026 and is expected to employ more than 1,000 people.
Vestas Wind Systems is a Danish manufacturer, seller, installer and servicer of wind turbines. In 2020, the company was the largest wind turbine manufacturer in the world.
