Description
Dispeo, a logistics subsidiary of the Hopps Group, recently closed one of its warehouses, resulting in the loss of 260 jobs. This closure follows significant financial difficulties, as Dispeo was left with only one remaining client after others went bankrupt, prompting the Hopps Group to shut down the site. Although 40 internal vacancies were offered as redeployment options, no employees applied. Workers had previously gone on strike and protested the site’s closure.
Two additional Dispeo sites in Toufflers and Houplines (Hauts-de-France), employing 63 and 72 workers respectively, have also been closed. Dispeo was acquired by the Hopps Group in 2018. Two other subsidiaries of the Group, Milee: Milee 2024 - FR and 150euros: 150 euros 2024 - FR have gone bankrupt, and the Hopps Group has been placed in financial liquidation.
The ERM database recorded a business expansion by Dispeo in 2014, creating 400 jobs Dispeo 2014 - FR.
