Bama Poland, a shoe care accessories company, has filed for bankruptcy, resulting in up to 150 people loosing their job at the factory in Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The layoffs were announced in late October, however, employees were not receiving their salaries for months and many employees are still awaiting their June 2024 salaries and essential documents to register as unemployed. Trade unions and lawyers are advising former Bama Poland employees not to delay in applying for the salary due. The Labour Office announces assistance for those who have lost their employment; job offers and retraining opportunities have been prepared for them.
Bama Poland produced shoe and leather care products began operations in Gorzów Wielkopolski in 2020.
