European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mercachrome, a French engineering company specializing in the manufacturing of aerospace parts, is set to hire 400 workers in France. This recruitment drive comes in response to increased demand from Airbus, which is currently producing at record levels in the history of aviation. However, this surge in production is creating challenges for manufacturers like Mecachrome, who are still dealing with the lasting effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previous internal restructurings and a delocalization were recorded in the ERM database, with 100 job cuts in 2020Mecachrome 2020 - FR and 180 job cuts in 2016Mecachrome 2016 - FR.
