The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
As announced on 11 October 2024, the German subsidiary Vileda of the Freudenberg Group will close its nonwoven fabric plant in Augsburg, Bavaria, by mid-2026, making 118 employees redundant.
The closure will affect 118 employees, with only the factory outlet remaining operational. Socially responsible and individual solutions will be sought for the employees, including partial retirement, early retirement options, severance packages, or transfers to other Freudenberg companies.
Vileda employs a total of 300 people in Germany. The company sells mechanical and electrical cleaning products.
