Description
Belgian-Dutch game store chain Game Mania has announced it will cut 165 jobs across Europe.
The company plans to close its 18 stores in the Netherlands and 12 in Belgium.
In late June, Game Mania sought and received protection from its creditors through the Antwerp Business Court and initiated a search for a potential buyer. Unfortunately, no buyer was found, leading the company to file for bankruptcy in September 2024.
Game Mania was founded in 1992 in Antwerp, Belgium. The retail chain specializes in selling gaming products, board games, and pop culture merchandise. Game Mania operates 30 physical stores and an online store.
