Fashion retailer, Penneys, is to create 100 jobs with the opening of a new store in Bray, Co. Wicklow.
Penneys is part of the Primark international retail brand and approximately 5,500 people are currently employed by Penneys in Ireland. The new store in Bray is part of Primark's commitment to invest over €250m in Ireland over a ten-year period.
Penneys was founded in Ireland in 1969 and expanded internationally as Primark. It has 38 stores in Ireland and 440 stores across Europe and America and aims to reach 530 stores by the end of 2026. Primark currently employs 80,000 people globally.
