Description
The Spanish customer service multinational company Konecta has announced an employment reduction file (ERE) affecting 602 employees in Spain. This job reduction will affect different workplaces, mainly the offices in Madrid and Barcelona, as well as the centres in Asturias, the Basque Country and the Canary Islands.
Workers’ representative unions have rejected the measure since turnover is increasing year on year, despite the fact that the company is unable to achieve the same “exceptional” profits as during the pandemic period.
In 2023, the company's revenues amounted to EUR 2,000 million euros and is present in 26 countries through over 200 headquarters, with a total employment of 130,000 people worldwide.
