American job-listing platform Indeed has announced that it will cut 1,000 jobs worldwide.
The layoffs will affect jobs in Ireland, the United States, Australia, and the UK. In Ireland, Indeed is to cut up to 70 jobs. The conditions of the programme will be negotiated with employee representatives according to local regulations. Under the programme, the company is to simplify its organisational structure to facilitate its management. The sources report that the cuts will be mostly concentrated in the US and focused on R&D and go-to-markets staff.
Indeed, a subsidiary of Recruit Holdings, is available in over 60 countries and in 28 languages. Indeed employs about 12,500 people worldwide.
