Description
The Czech state rail operator Czech Railways has announced around 300 jobs to be made redundant in the South Moravia regional unit at the beginning of December 2024.
The reason for the internal restructuring is a decrease in operations in the region and a new contract for the operation of the Moravia units. The redundancy applies to train drivers and cashiers.
Workers at risk of layoffs will be given the option of retraining to become, for example, a train driver, or they will be offered vacant positions within other Czech Railways companies.
