Description
The mining company Severní energetická has announced plans to terminate brown coal mining at the ČSA mining site in Most. As a result, the company will lay off approximately 500 employees.
Mining will be closed down in a controlled manner within the next few months. About 485 job cuts will occur between May and July 2024.The layoffs concern job positions such as operational locksmiths, electricians, drivers, mechanics, and other technical professions.
All dismissed employees will receive an above-standard severance pay amounting to eight times their salary.
