Description
Thyssenkrupp Schulte, a subsidiary of Thyssenkrupp headquartered in Essen, is a German materials trading company that has announced plans to cut 450 jobs at various locations in Germany.
Declining and low demand for pure materials is cited as the reason for the job cuts. In the future, the business model is to be more strongly focused on services. The restructuring is to be completed by the end of September 2025. As part of the reorganisation, several sites are to be closed and one in five jobs will be cut.
Thyssenkrupp Schulte is part of the Essen-based industrial group Thyssenkrupp and has a total of 2,300 full-time positions at over 40 locations. These include Ratingen, Essen and Mülheim (NRW).
