Description

The Japanese robot manufacturer Yaskawa is expanding its production in Slovenia and creating 30 new jobs. Director Hubert Kosler said that the company will hire ten new engineers and 20 new employees in other positions within a year.

In Kočevje it will also invest in robotization and automation of the old factory. Now robots help them paint their robotic arms, debug, clean and wash castings. Yaskawa's collaborative robots will be integrated into assembly lines to assemble robotic subassemblies. With the application of smart tools, they will implement and control the screwing of new robots. Automated guided vehicles will also be introduced into internal logistics processes, which will deliver materials commissioned for individual workplaces.

The Japanese company Yaskawa is also building a new European Robot Distribution Centre and a new building for the engineering and production of robot systems in Kočevje. The €32 million investment will strengthen the company's presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The investment will be completed by 2025.

In Slovenia, Yaskava currently employs 270 people.
