European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Consultancy and Professional services firm Accenture is opening two Centres specialised in artificial intelligence (AI) generation in Madrid and Barcelona (Spain), with an estimation of 1,000 new jobs created at the very short run and with a final aim to reach 3,000 new jobs in the coming months/years. The company has undertaken over 700 generational AI projects at global level, of which over 70 have been conducted with some of the most relevant Spanish public and private organisations.
The company has stated that the development of this AI-based market niche will create additional job needs. The company, aware of the labour shortage problem of professionals in the area, will maintain its strategy of attracting and training talent in AI. The opening of these generative AI centres is part of Accenture's global commitment to this technology, which is quantified at an investment of 3,000 million dollars in the period 2023-2026.
