Betfair Romania Development, part of the Irish betting and gambling group Flutter Entertainment, announced the creation of 300 new jobs by the end of 2024. The new jobs are advertised for the software development center at Cluj-Napoca (Cluj County).
The Cluj center is the only one which serves all 5 divisions of the Flutter Group, which is constantly opening new business areas that deal with software development of products in the portfolio. After the success of Flutter Studios, a business area created in 2023 to develop and integrate games for online casinos, the group decided to open a similar area for the PokerStars brand. The intensive recruitment process is aimed at new roles in the structure of these departments, with a focus on engineering and delivery, data, and games development.
By the end of 2023, the company had 1,700 employees in Romania.
