European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
AVL List, a technology company in Graz, has announced the direct dismissal of 70 employees in March 2024, as well as 130 additional job cuts.
The 130 positions are meant to be cut through not filling positions after retirements. As a result, a total of 200 jobs will be cut this year, which reduces the number of employees from 4.300 to 4.100 people.
The company has agreed with the works council that the competition and employment protection clause will be applied. The spokesman of the company states the high costs of personnel and energy to be the main reasons for the cutting measures.
