Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
MA Poland, an automotive industry company, will lay off 250 people from its factory in Tychy. The planned layoffs are related to the end of FCA Poland's production of the FIAT 500 and Lancia passenger car models, for which the company produced parts. The group layoffs have been notified to the Labour Office, and will last until mid-2024. MA Polska was established in 2002 and is involved in the production of parts and consumables for vehicles of various brands. It also provides parts for the maintenance of components such as brake discs and pads, light bulbs, and tyres.
